So. Admittedly, I’m quite early in my current journey through my own mental health work. I’ve been in and out of therapy for decades. (My parents were BOTH social workers. It explains SO much. Lol) My current attempt at therapy is a much more realistic, holistic focus; and is looking so very different than my past “therapy drive-bys”.
I’m currently trying to figure out what is my actual GOAL, right now. I’m a bit all over the place with it (shock and awe!), but I think where I’ve landed is wanting to find my joy again. I’m not sure yet what this looks like, but my current thought process is simply trying to find my “moment”. Once a day, perhaps? Whether it’s a moment of gratitude, a moment of love, a moment of awareness. Maybe you’ve been in bed for weeks and a “moment” for you might look like taking a shower for the first time in weeks, or even getting up and sitting outside for a few minutes. Whatever that “moment” looks like for you, I wish it for you, each and every day. I will keep you updated on my own journey to find my moments as the days pass.
